Earth is succumbing to catastrophic climate change.
You have 2 minutes to choose between two host planets.
PLANET A Has a culture of lacto-ovo vegetarianism.
They do not use animals for meat,
however once their cows and hens become
less profitable for milk, or egg production,
they are slaughtered and replaced.
PLANET B Has a culture of complete vegetarianism
otherwise known as veganism.
They do not use animals for meat, eggs,
milk or other purposes.
There are no slaughterhouses on planet B.
If you find yourself starving to death on a desert island
with the choice between eating a pig and eating a human
-Don’t kill anyone just yet.
Take a moment.
Are you really in one of those desert island survival situations
or are you seeking to justify flesh eating
under circumstances where there is no genuine
case for necessity?
After pursuing an animal through the forest
the experienced hunter can tell when
the animal is ready to give herself to him.
Unfortunately it can be difficult to know
whether the animal has given up through sheer exhaustion
or whether she has genuinely come to terms
with her imminent death.
Organic meat cost me
twice as much as woollies meat
I sure hope the animals are grateful.
Casomorphin is an opioid released
during the digestion of cow’s milk
that helps baby calves stay close to mamma.
Unlike baby calves, humans have developed
refrigerators and no longer need to follow cows about
to get their casomorphin fix.
DNA sequencing shows that eggs contain
animal, not vegetable protein.
Once hens become less profitable
for egg production (usually around 18 months old)
they are slaughtered and replaced
-so why are eggs considered to be
a vegetarian food?
The calf needs to suckle milk.
The farmer wants to sell it.
The farmer has a sharp knife
and a captive bolt gun.
The calf has wobbly legs
and wide set innocent eyes.
We get the milk
and the calf gets slaughtered.
Is beating a dog an act of violence?
How about slitting the throat of a pig?
How do you feel about violence towards animals?
Do you eat dead animal body parts?
Vegetarians with their vested interests
find it difficult to accept plant sentience.
So it is up to the meat eaters of this world
to rationally investigate screaming watermelons.
Peace and love
that’s all good.
Be kind to each other, the earth and so forth.
Please don’t forget about the animals.
They are fellow beings, not commodities.
